Assam Lottery Sambad: Is It the Same as Lottery Sambad?

Updated · Assam Lottery Result

Rongo the rhino between two signposts explaining Assam lottery sambad

Many people type “Assam lottery sambad” when they want the Assam State Lottery result. But Lottery Sambad is also the everyday name of a different lottery: the Dear lotteries of Nagaland. This page shows how the two differ — their times, prizes and tickets — so you check your ticket against the right result. This site covers the Assam State Lottery only.

What “Assam lottery sambad” means

“Sambad” means news. So when someone types “Assam lottery sambad”, they usually mean “Assam lottery news” — in other words, today’s result of the Assam State Lottery, which many people also call the Bodoland lottery.

That result is one draw at 03:00 PM IST with twelve series: Dear, Rosa, Kuil, Future, Singam, Abble, Thangam, Nallaneram, Kumaran, Swarnalaxmi, Vishnu, Lion. Each series has a 6-digit 1st prize of ₹1,00,000 and five smaller prizes matched on the last 5 or 4 digits.

The phrase becomes confusing because “Lottery Sambad” on its own is the name most people use for a different lottery. If you mix them up, you may compare your ticket with the wrong numbers, and a real small prize can be missed or a false hope raised.

Assam lottery sambad vs Lottery Sambad, side by side

Here are the two lotteries next to each other. The Assam column is what people usually mean by Assam lottery sambad. The other column is the Nagaland family of draws known as Lottery Sambad or the Dear lotteries.

The quickest difference to remember is the time. If the result you are looking at says 1 PM, 6 PM or 8 PM, it is not the Assam draw. The lists we read carry all twelve Assam series at 03:00 PM.

The second difference is the size of the top prize. The Nagaland 1st prize is ₹1 crore; the Assam 1st prize is ₹1,00,000 per series. A message that promises a crore for an Assam ticket is mixing the two up, or trying to trick you.

The third difference is the shape of the number. An Assam ticket has six digits after its series name, and every prize is matched from the right: all six, the last five or the last four. A Nagaland ticket has a short code and five digits, and its prize list works in its own way. Numbers from one lottery cannot win in the other.

Why people mix them up

There are a few simple reasons, and none of them is your fault. Knowing them makes the confusion much easier to avoid.

  • The word “sambad”. People add it to any lottery name, so “Assam lottery sambad” sounds like a part of Lottery Sambad even when it is not.
  • The word “Dear”. Dear is one of the twelve Assam series, and Dear is also the name of the Nagaland lotteries. Same word, two different draws.
  • Results travel together. In family groups and local shops, the results of different lotteries are often passed around side by side, sometimes in one image.
  • Draw times are close. The Assam draw at 03:00 PM sits between the Nagaland 1 PM and 6 PM draws, so a result seen in the afternoon could be either.

The Dear name clash catches the most people. If your ticket says Dear and shows a 6-digit number with the 03:00 PM time, check it on the Assam Dear series page. If it shows a code and five digits, it belongs to the Nagaland draws.

Read your ticket to know which one you hold

Your ticket is the final answer. Look at three things on it: the number format, the time and the series or draw name. The table below shows what each one tells you.

Which result does your ticket need?
What the ticket showsIt belongs toCheck it against
A series name like Kuil or Nallaneram and a 6-digit numberAssam State LotteryThe 03:00 PM Assam sheet of that series
“Dear” with a 6-digit number and 03:00 PMAssam State Lottery (Dear series)The Assam Dear sheet
A short code like “84K” and 5 digitsDear lotteries of NagalandThat lottery’s own result
1 PM, 6 PM or 8 PM printed as the timeDear lotteries of NagalandThat lottery’s own result

Here is an invented Assam example, used only to show the format: Singam 529063. The series name is Singam and the number has six digits, so it is an Assam ticket. You would check it against the Singam sheet for the date printed on it, looking at all six digits, then the last five, then the last four.

For an Assam ticket, the ticket checker does this for every series at once. It does not check Nagaland tickets, because their number format and prizes are different.

Morning, day and night: not Assam draws

You may hear people talk about a “morning”, “day” or “night” lottery sambad. Those names point to the three Nagaland draws spread across the day. They are not versions of the Assam State Lottery.

For Assam there is one time to remember: 03:00 PM. The lists we read carry all twelve series at that time, every day. If you see an “Assam lottery sambad morning” or “Assam night result”, treat it with care — it is most likely a Nagaland result with the wrong label, or a mistake.

On a draw day, the live board for the 3 PM draw fills series by series as the numbers appear, so you can see the Assam numbers arrive without waiting for a forwarded image. It is not a video of the draw; it is a board that updates as the result lists do.

Assamese lottery sambad: same meaning, same draw

Some readers write “Assamese lottery sambad” or type the phrase in Assamese script. They mean the same thing: the result of the Assam State Lottery. Whatever the language, the numbers are the same 03:00 PM numbers of the twelve series.

You may also see mixed phrases like “Bodoland lottery sambad” or “Assam lottery sambad today”. These too normally point to the Assam draw. The page on the Bodoland lottery result explains why one draw goes by several names.

The rule stays simple: go by the ticket, not by the words someone used. A name, a time and a number format will tell you more than any search phrase.

It also helps to ask the person who sold you the ticket which lottery it belongs to, and to keep the ticket in a safe place until you have checked it against the right result. If someone else at home keeps the ticket, tell them the series name and the 03:00 PM time as well, so they do not compare it with an evening Nagaland result by mistake.

What this site covers — and what it does not

This site covers the Assam State Lottery only. You can see all 12 series today, open the full prize sheet of each series, check a ticket, look up old results by date and set alerts for the 03:00 PM draw. The newest stored draw is of 7 November 2026.

We do not show the Nagaland draws, and we do not link to any other result source. If you hold a Nagaland ticket, check it against that lottery’s own printed result. For either lottery, the printed official result always prevails.

If you missed the Assam draw, yesterday’s Assam result and the full archive are one tap away. We sell no tickets for either lottery, take no payments and give no tips.

Forwarded result images and fake PDFs

Because so many results are shared as pictures, fake ones are common. An edited image can show the wrong lottery, the wrong date or a number that never won. Some are made to sell “tips”, others to convince someone that they have won so they will pay a fee.

Before you trust a forwarded Assam lottery sambad image, compare it with the full sheet for that date and series. If you want a copy to keep, save a clean sheet yourself — the page on saving a result as a PDF shows how, and how to spot a fake one.

No real lottery asks you to pay to release a prize. If someone does, stop replying and report it on the cyber-fraud helpline 1930 or at cybercrime.gov.in.

Play safe

Lottery tickets are legal in some states and banned in others; buy only where it is legal, and never encourage a friend to buy where it is not. No person or group can know a winning number before the draw, in either lottery. Keep spending small.

Assam lottery sambad questions

Is Assam lottery sambad the same as Lottery Sambad?

No. “Assam lottery sambad” is a phrase people use for the Assam State Lottery result at 03:00 PM. Lottery Sambad is the common name for the Dear lotteries of Nagaland, a separate lottery with its own draws and numbers.

What time is the Assam State Lottery draw?

The lists we read carry all 12 series of the Assam State Lottery at 03:00 PM IST. The 1 PM, 6 PM and 8 PM times belong to the Nagaland draws, not to the Assam lottery.

Is the Dear series of Assam the same as the Dear lottery of Nagaland?

No. Dear is one of the 12 series of the Assam State Lottery, drawn at 03:00 PM with a 6-digit number. The Dear lotteries of Nagaland are a different lottery with draws at 1 PM, 6 PM and 8 PM. The shared word causes many mix-ups.

How can I tell which lottery my ticket belongs to?

Look at the number. An Assam State Lottery ticket shows a series name such as Thangam or Kumaran and a 6-digit number. A Nagaland ticket usually shows a short code like “84K” followed by 5 digits.

What is the 1st prize in each?

In the Assam State Lottery, the 1st prize is ₹1,00,000 in each of the 12 series. In the Dear lotteries of Nagaland, the 1st prize is ₹1 crore.

Is there an Assam lottery morning, day or night result?

Not on the lists we read. They carry all 12 Assam series at 03:00 PM. Morning, day and night names are used for the three Nagaland draws.

Does this site show the Lottery Sambad (Nagaland) result?

No. This site covers the Assam State Lottery only: its 12 series at 03:00 PM, the full prize sheets and the ticket checker. For a Nagaland ticket, check that lottery’s own result.

What does “sambad” mean?

“Sambad” means news. People add it to lottery names in the way they would say “lottery news”, which is one reason the two lotteries get confused.

Assam lottery sambad in short

“Assam lottery sambad” usually means the Assam State Lottery result: one draw at 03:00 PM, twelve series, a ₹1,00,000 1st prize per series and 6-digit tickets. Lottery Sambad on its own is the name of the Nagaland Dear lotteries, with draws at 1 PM, 6 PM and 8 PM and a ₹1 crore 1st prize.

When in doubt, read the ticket: a series name and six digits means Assam; a code and five digits means Nagaland. Check each against its own result, and trust the printed official result over any forwarded image.
