Rongo the rhino holding a padlock for the privacy policy

You can read every result on this site without giving us anything. Some tools need a little data to work — a saved ticket, an alert, an email address. This page lists exactly what each one keeps, where, and how to remove it.

The short version

There is no account and no login. Your saved tickets stay in your own browser. We keep only what a feature you switched on needs, we never sell it, and you can switch each feature off yourself.

Saved tickets stay in your browser

When you save a ticket in My tickets, it is written to your browser’s local storage on this device. It is not sent to us for that purpose, and we cannot see your list. The same storage also holds two small notes: the alert switch of this phone (an ID and a secret token, so the phone can turn its own alerts off), and the time the alerts pop-up was last shown, so it does not keep coming back.

Clearing your browser’s data for this site removes all of it. Nothing in local storage is a tracking cookie, and none of it is shared with anyone.

Phone alerts and ticket alerts

If you turn on alerts on the alerts page, your browser gives us a push subscription: an address at your browser maker’s push service and two keys that let us encrypt the message. We store it with a short label such as “Chrome on Android”, the language and the date. We use it only to send the result alert, your ticket alerts and a test when you ask for one.

With alerts on, the tickets in My tickets for today and later dates — the date, series and number, nothing else — are sent to our server, so it can tell you “won” or “no prize”. After the alert we record the outcome next to that ticket line. Removing a ticket before its draw removes it from our list too.

When you tap “Turn off”, the push subscription and every ticket line sent for alerts from this phone are deleted from our database. If the push service tells us a subscription no longer works — for example after you clear the browser’s data — we remove that subscription on the next send. Any ticket lines left behind then can no longer reach any device and carry no name or contact detail.

Daily result email

To subscribe, you give your email address and tick a consent box. We store the address, the exact consent text you agreed to, the time, the page you signed up on and a short description of your browser. We then send one confirmation email; you are not on the list until you tap its link, and we store that time too.

Our emails contain a small image and links that tell us whether an email was opened or a link was tapped. We use those counts to see that the emails arrive and are useful, not to build a profile of you. Your address is never sold or shared for anyone else’s marketing.

Every email has a one-tap unsubscribe link. After you unsubscribe, the address stays marked as unsubscribed so that it is never emailed again by mistake. If you would rather we erase it completely, write to us.

Contact form messages

The contact form sends your message, the topic and the page you came from. Name and email are optional. We store the message and forward a copy to our own inbox so we can read and answer it. We do not add you to any list because you wrote to us.

Ticket photos and the camera

When you upload a ticket photo, or tap “Read with AI” on the camera screen, the picture is made smaller on your phone and sent to our Cloudflare server. An AI model running there reads the series, the number and the date, and the answer is sent back to you. The photo is not saved, not added to any collection and not used by us to train anything.

The live camera view and barcode scanning happen on your phone; only the single frame you choose to send leaves it. Please photograph only the ticket, not your ID or bank card.

A hashed IP address for rate limits

To stop automated abuse, some tools have limits — for example a number of photo readings a day or messages an hour. To count them, we turn your IP address into a scrambled code (a hash) that cannot be turned back into the address. Counters reset when their time window ends. The same code is saved with email sign-ups and contact messages to help us spot repeated spam, and for nothing else.

Hosting by Cloudflare

The site, its server and its database run on Cloudflare. Every page you open travels through Cloudflare’s network first, so it sees your IP address and browser details and may keep them in its logs for a short time to deliver pages, keep the network secure and block attacks. Emails are sent through Cloudflare’s email service.

At the time of writing, the pages load no advertising scripts and no third-party analytics.

Advertising in the future

To pay for running the site, we may later show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners would then use cookies or similar technology to show ads and measure them, possibly based on your earlier visits to this and other sites. If that happens, we will update this page first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent. Google explains its use of data on its partner-sites page, and you can turn off personalised ads in your Google ad settings.

Your choices and rights

  • Use the site without saving tickets, turning on alerts or subscribing — every result stays readable.
  • Turn phone alerts off on the alerts page, or block notifications in your browser.
  • Unsubscribe from email with one tap, or ask us to erase your address.
  • Ask us what we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it.

Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, gives you rights over your personal data, and we will respect them. This site is meant for adults, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes and contact

If a feature changes what it stores, we update this page and the date at the top. For any privacy question or request, write to contact@assamlotteryresult.org or use the contact form. We usually answer within two working days. To return to the results, open the home page.
